When the PS4 is turned on, the power light pulses blue and then turns white, but there is no picture on the TV. Usually, the HDMI port will look damaged or the pins will be out of alignment.

When the PS4 is turned on or during play, the internal fan makes a lot of noise. You may or may not get a “PS4 is too hot” error message on screen and in some cases the console will shut down.

When you press the power button, the console is completely non-responsive and the power lights do not come on. In some cases, the PS4 may turn on briefly before losing power.

When doing a system update, the PS4 does not complete the update, and may then restart. In some cases the console will not start the update or is stuck in safe mode.
